| I've found I'm mostly on Facebook these days. I still check people's Xangas, but thats prolly where I will be found most easily. Be safe all. | | |
| "...And so Elawyn Featherthorn finds herself leaping from tree to tree, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that her next leap will be the leap home..." This has been in my head since the event...man am I lame. | | |
| For anyone interested, my planned departure date for Florida is Friday, August 15th. While my weekends are pretty booked up, my weekdays are pretty open - call me if you want to hang out and occupy my summer before I leave! :) | | |
| I got my first apartment choice! Two-bedroom flat with air conditioning. And my particular place is rather close to the laundry building. I am quite happy. | | |
| So today I met with the professor that will be my direct advisor/mentor throughout my time at Florida State (He's been working at Princeton for the last year, and when he learned I was so close, we endeavored to meet up). I am so happy. We talked for like 3 and half hours, had lunch, coffee, and ice cream (at three different places), and it was just a really nice afternoon. I'm even more excited about studying at FSU now, it's really going to be great. Also, I have been asked to learn the Tibetan alphabet and basic word structures before classes start. Apparantly its similiar to Japanese in structure (a good thing) and while challenging, its that kind of challenging that makes you excited, not frustrated. | | |
